More than 60 international delegates, youth leaders, and representatives from universities, colleges, government agencies and corporations were treated to a rare opportunity to meet the Entrepreneur-In-Residence from the global host of the 2009 Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) from the Kauffman Foundation – Mr. Michael Levin, who flew to Malaysia from the U.S especially to support the GEW movement in Malaysia.

The opening ceremony of Global Entrepreneurship Week in China began on Sunday evening at the Shanghai Theater Academy opening with a debut performance of musical drama “Forever the Moment” which highlighted youth entrepreneurship performed by undergraduates of the Academy.

The Economist recently stated that ‘the latest GEM global report gives Japan the lowest score for entrepreneurship of any big country’ and that the country’s policies encouraged ‘”replicative” rather than “innovative” behaviour’. However, the GEW events in Tokyo took off on Monday with a positive wide presentation of ‘Japan’s Entrepreneur Scene’.

Global Entrepreneurship Week Malaysia got off to a flying start in Kuala Lumpa on Monday, hosted by Pulse Group PLC and Warisan Global, the Malaysian country host for GEW in Malaysia.
