Such prominent businesspeople as Reid Hoffman of LinkedIn, Laith Qasem of YEA and Mitchell Baker of the Mozilla Foundation delivered some well-recieved speeches at the Le Royal Hotel, Amman, Jordan on Monday.

Jordanian blogger Roba Al-Assi posted an enthusiastic review of the day, labeling it a “very impressive event.”

“Laith Qasem of YEA was talking about the state of creative content in the Arab world, and he said a very interesting thing: In the Arab world, we have the pipelines, the hardware, the technology, but we have nothing to push through these pipelines. Which is very true. We need more creatives, more content creators, more people who should shove good taste down the Arab world’s throat,” she wrote.

Billed as an opportunity for the business community to learn and network with 5 outstanding entrepreneurs, the event consisted of a 15 min speaking portion for each speaker followed by a panel discussion and a reception for networking.
