Hundreds of initiatives are being launched to promote this career path. One of these is Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place in countries throughout the Arab region.


One of the top GEW events in this part of the world is the Best Practices in Entrepreneurship Policy conference. This conference is designed to bring together the best minds who want to nurture this next generation, by identifying and pushing forward an agenda of best practices in the many areas that affect young entrepreneurs. These policies range from education, financial reforms (including angel investing laws and practices), bankruptcy laws, credit access, youth-enterprise tax-holidays, intellectual property protection, and competition policies to judicial practices, bureaucratic efficiency, capital requirements, and employment laws.]]></description>

One of the top GEW events in this part of the world is the <strong><a href="http://www.dsg.ae/NEWSANDEVENTS/UpcomingEvents/BPEP/tabid/604/language/en-US/Default.aspx">Best Practices in Entrepreneurship Policy</a> </strong>conference. This conference is designed to bring together the best minds who want to nurture this next generation, by identifying and pushing forward an agenda of best practices in the many areas that affect young entrepreneurs. These policies range from education, financial reforms (including angel investing laws and practices), bankruptcy laws, credit access, youth-enterprise tax-holidays, intellectual property protection, and competition policies to judicial practices, bureaucratic efficiency, capital requirements, and employment laws.<br />
The conference will bring together thought leaders from throughout the region, in the private sector, government, NGOs/INGOs and academia, in order to identify the policy challenges, the successes in addressing them, and the regional and country-specific agendas for moving forward. Speakers planned include representatives of <strong>The World Bank</strong>, <strong>Middle East Venture Partners</strong> and <strong>Legatum Institute</strong>. <strong>Steve Mariotti</strong>, founder of GEW Global Partner<strong> Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE)</strong>, will also speak about the organization film <a href="http://ten9eight.com/">&#8220;Ten9Eight: Shoot For the Moon&#8221;</a> a documentary about young entrepreneurs that will debut in conjunction with GEW.<br />
The event will be held in <strong>Dubai</strong> on November 19 and 20.</p>
